Hair Color for Hazel Eyes
If you have the same hairstyle from your high school, then it is time to get a makeover. And while you are at it, why not change your hair color too. I know, I know . . . most women balk at the idea of going for a change in hair color. But believe me, it is the best way to update your appearance and go for a new look altogether. The trick in choosing a hair color that will make you look chic and stylish is to select a hair color that complements your eye color as well as your skin tone. If you have hazel eyes, then you are very lucky. Women with hazel colored eyes can carry off most shades in hair color and look stunning in them. But of course, your skin tone will also have a bearing on the hair color shade that would look good on you. Finding a hair color that complements both your skin tone and hazel eyes is tricky. You need to find a hair color that makes your hazel eyes flash and brings out the slight flecks of green or gold in the eyes.
Choosing Hair Color for Hazel Eyes
To choose a hair color for hazel eyes, first you need to determine what skin tone you have. Skin tone can be either warm or cool. If you have yellowish or golden undertones in your skin and you tan easily, then you have a warm skin tone. On the other hand, if you have a pinkish or bluish pink undertone and you tend to burn rather than tan in the sun, then you have a cool skin tone. Once you have ascertained your skin tone, it would be lot easier to find a hair color that will suit you. Another important factor to consider while choosing hair color for hazel eyes is to determine what is the dominant color of your eyes. A hair color that will suit hazel eyes with flecks of gold and brown might not go with hazel eyes which has flecks of green or gray.
Hazel Eyes with Cool Skin Tone
For women with a cool skin tone, there are many hair color shades that can make their hazel eyes look more attractive and intense. Blonde hair colors like medium gold, butterscotch, light caramel and champagne gold really highlights the sparkle and shine of hazel eyes. Less intense shades of auburn as well as light golden brown also works very well with cool skin tones. Strawberry blonde and warm caramel are also great hair color shades for women with hazel eyes. Avoid hair color shades like ash, wheat and ginger as these colors will make your complexion look washed out and shallow. Jet black hair color should also be avoided if you have hazel eyes with a cool skin tone.
Hazel Eyes with Warm Skin Tone
If you have a warm skin tone and hazel colored eyes, then choose rich warm shade of brown hair color. Chocolate, cinnamon and chestnut brown are some of the best hair color shades for women who have hazel eyes. These rich and luxurious colors, makes the golden flecks of hazel eyes more intense. You can also choose deeper colors like mahogany and burgundy if you want to go for a complete color change. When you have a warm skin tone, then you have a lot of flexibility in choosing different hair coloring techniques. You can choose to color your hair with a single color, or go for highlights at the sides and crown. If you choose to highlight your hair, make sure that the base color and the highlighted color are harmonious with each other. Another great idea which is very trendy, is to color the hair at the top all through mid length in a dark shade like chocolate brown and lighten the tips in medium auburn or golden blonde. The contrast between the dark and light shades gives a sexy and chic look.
Coloring your hair is the best way to transform your appearance. Pair this with a flattering haircut and you can look instantly stylish and chic. So, choose a hair color that flatters your beautiful hazel eyes.
