Materials You will Need

  • Denim outfit
  • Bleach
  • Bucket
  • Rubber Gloves
  • Newspaper or Plastic
  • Sponge
Procedure

Step 1: Fill 3/4th of a large bucket with warm water. Add one to two medium bowls of bleach to the water. Stir the water thoroughly.

Step 2: Though 2 bowls of bleach is sufficient, you can vary the amount of bleach to be added depending upon how much white you want the outfit to be. But, make sure you don't exceed the quantity.

Step 3: Once the solution is ready, wear the rubber gloves. Doing this will prevent your hands from burning due to the bleach.

Step 4: Now, dip the denim in the bucket. Remember to open the folds before dipping and further spread it in the bucket properly. For this, it is best to use the biggest bucket available. Make sure that your jeans is completely soaked in the water and no part is left above water.

Step 5: Keep the denim soaked in this bleach solution for about 10 minutes. Also, you can increase or decrease the soaking time according to the desired whiteness.

Step 6: Keep moving the soaked denim continuously to avoid a single area getting over bleached.

Step 7: Once the needed time is over, remove the denim from the bucket. See if any area is left unbleached. If yes, you can keep it as it is and have a nice pattern. Or follow Step 8.

Step 8: Using a sponge, dab the bleach solution wherever you want to.

Step 9: If a larger area is left unbleached, you can reposition the denim and soak for some more time.

Step 10: When the bleaching process is over, remove the fabric and hang it for drying. Place a paper or plastic on the floor area below it to avoid any floor damage.

After learning this easy process, you would be too excited to try it. So, bleach denim and get ready to turn all eyes towards you!
