Frizzy Hair Remedies
Frizzy hair can be a cause of worry for the many who face difficulty in managing their hair. While most people acquire this hair condition from their parents, others causes include excessive use of hair care products, lack of moisture or proteins in the hair, humid weather or windy climate, overexposure to sun, regular coloring and perming or bleaching of hair. The basic problem of this type of hair is lack of moisture. This dehydration of the hair makes the hair porous, which in turn loses the ability to hold moisture. Unlike normal hair, in which the cuticle is closely knit, in frizzy hair, the cuticle stands out. Both men and women are found have this type of hair and are desperate to find out some treatment for the same. In such cases, some frizzy hair remedies can be tried.
Frizzy Hair Tips
One of the common causes for frizzy hair is excess use of hair care products or other procedures like straightening, perming, bleaching and coloring. You have to minimize such hairstyling efforts and use of commercial hair care products. Daily washing with shampoo can worsen the condition of this hair, as shampoos can dry the hair. You can shampoo your hair once or twice a week, that too by using shampoo (preferably with moisturizing agents) diluted with water. After washing the hair with shampoo, use a hair conditioner with vitamin E and aloe vera. You may use warm water for washing hair, but rinse the conditioner with cold water, so that the hair cuticles get closed after absorbing the conditioner. Deep conditioning can be done once a week. Once done, wrap your hair with a dry towel. Do not rub the hair with the towel, as it can make the hair more frizzy. Avoid blow drying as far as possible and if it is unavoidable, use it in a downward direction. Don't comb wet hair, but, you can use your fingers to untangle it. Once the hair is dry, use a wide-toothed comb or brush. You may also go for oil massage once a week. Coconut oil is considered as best for oil massage. Use slightly warm oil and massage it into the scalp and wash it off after one hour. All these measures can help you to manage your hair without any difficulty.
Remedies for Frizzy Hair
While excess use of some hair care products can make your hair frizzy, some others can worsen the condition of those who have got this type of hair. So, beware of hair care products with alcohol, sodium, calcium, lye, lithium hydroxide and oil-based products. If you notice that any such product is making your hair frizzy, discontinue its use. One of the important frizzy hair remedies is to avoid heat in any form like blow drying and use of flat irons. Even overexposure to sun should be avoided. Restrain from the habit of constant combing or brushing of the hair. It will be better if you keep your hands off your hair. You can also use some natural vegetable glycerin to your hair styling products like gels or mousse, to control this type of hair. A mixture of apple cider vinegar and water can be applied to the hair, in order to increase the shine and bounce of the hair. Frizzy hair remedies include hair masks, which are also found to be effective. Above all, a balanced diet and good exercise routine can also be one of the effective remedies. Drink lots of water and avoid stress. Avoid spicy, fatty, salty and junk food, but include more raw vegetables and fruits in your diet.
With appropriate hair care, you can not only control your hair, but also make it look gorgeous. The above said frizzy hair remedies can help you to achieve this goal. All you have to do is to adopt these measures, which include some changes in your lifestyle too.
