Blonde Hair with Brown Highlights
Blonde hair has always been in vogue. Highlights, lowlights, fully bleached, semi bleached...blonde is the color which everyone adores! Most of the 'non-blonde' people dream about that bright blonde mane. But carrying blonde strands all along seems boring and bland. Isn't it? Trying some funky hair highlights can add a tinge of glamor to your personality! Natural blonde hair actually starts to look pale and artificial once you start to get older, which is why you should rethink about the plain blonde hair color. Talking about being funky, how about getting some brown highlights?
Highlights for Blonde Hair
Natural blonde hair color with no highlights, sometimes start to look really unglamorous, because a chemical reaction takes place between the blonde hair and the sun. Adding hair highlights can give a depth and life to such hair. Highlighting is the best way for looking gorgeous without having to sacrifice your original blonde hue. Natural blonde hair is fine and the chemicals which are used for highlighting, can cause serious damage to them. Hence it is important to condition them well with a leave-in hair conditioner. You should also refrain from blonde hair with brown highlights (or any highlights for that matter) if you have dyed blonde hair. In case you don't know, hair is heavily treated to get that artificial blonde look and layering that color with another one can put tremendous stress on the hair.
But, once you are sure that your hair is well-conditioned and maintained them adding hair highlights is not a big deal. There are numerous colors available to glamorize your blonde hair. Selecting blonde highlights is a lot more than selecting your favorite hair color from the market. Hence you'll need to consider your eye colors, skin tone and shade of your hair. Using more than one color shades is ideal for natural blonde hair. If you don't want to compromise with blonde color, then you can go for the darker shades of blonde for highlighting the existing hair. If you want brown highlights, then you must reconsider a few facts about your skin tone and eye color.
Brown Highlights
As a rule of thumb, always remember that blonde hair with brown highlights doesn't suit everyone. So, however attractive it may sound, you shouldn't get it done for yourself until you are sure about it. Blond hair with brown highlights is a disaster for blonds with pale complexion and cool skin tone. The cool skin tone is the one that don't easily get tanned. This kind of skin tone has gray or blue undertones. Adding brown highlights in blonde hair with such cool skin tone is an absolute nightmare. Such people should go for other subtle highlights, which can soothe the eyes, like the beige, ash, taupe and wheat. On the other hand, people having warm as well as ruddy skin tones can definitely try blonde hair with brown highlights.
Warm skin tone has hues of gold, peach and pink as undertones and it gets easily and evenly tanned. This kind of skin tone is ideal for brown and other rich hair highlights like straw, bronze, caramel and subtle shades of brown and red. If you have a warm skin tone, you can even try short blonde hair that has brown highlights, which is the splash of the season. If you bear ruddy skin tone with strong red undertones that get flushed really easily, then blonde hair with brown highlights is the best choice that you have. Try honey brown, beige and golden brown highlights in blonde hair and see the difference.
Brown highlights can really accentuate your skin and make your original blonde hair look all the more ravishing. Lastly, it is important to consider your eye color. Select the highlight colors according to your particular skin tone and once you do that, I think the eye color will surely match with it. Blonde hair with brown highlights can suit any eye color, apart from light blue and light green eyes. If you bear eyes of any other darker colors then you can indisputably go for brown highlights in blonde hair.
Maintaining the highlights is very important. For that always use a color preserving shampoo, conditioner and such other hair care products. It is also important to refrain from any additional chemical hair treatments. All in all, once your hair highlights match with your skin tone, you can transfer any blond into a real fashion diva!
