Vinegar, since the ancient times, has been a part of several cuisines the world over. Acidic in nature, it is produced by fermentation of ethanol. In the process, it acquires a pungent smell and sour taste. Back in the Biblical times, vinegar was known as an unpleasant drink, but a favorable condiment. Whatever maybe the contradictions, the fact that vinegar uses are aplenty is undeniable. Besides being a irresistible condiment in a variety of cuisines, vinegar uses for cleaning are the most effective ones. Cleaning with vinegar is easy, since it is rare to find a kitchen without a bottle of this multipurpose unpleasant drink!
Uses of Vinegar for Cleaning
Kitchen Cleanser
- Let's begin with vinegar uses for kitchen cleaning, since as its commonly found in the kitchen.
- To make that sink shine and sparkle like a new one, make a paste of 2 tablespoons salt and 1 teaspoon white distilled vinegar. Scrub the sink with it, et voila!
- Those counter tops that seem perma dirty can be cleaned too! Just wipe the counters with a cloth soaked for a while in undiluted white distilled vinegar. Cleaning windows with vinegar can also be done in the same way. White vinegar cleaning is the most cheapest form of cleaning as it is the most inexpensive vinegar on the shelf .
- Smell of baked food in a microwave or an oven is simply annoying. Get rid of that smell by wiping it clean with a sponge soaked in diluted white vinegar and leave it open for fifteen minutes.
- Cleaning with vinegar, apparently also offers a solution to those eyesore oil and grease stains in the kitchen. Pour white diluted vinegar over these areas. Let it sit for a while and then wipe it off with a damp cloth. Cleaning dishwasher with vinegar can also be done in the same way. In many cases, vinegar is better than other cleaning agents which are sold at pretentious prices. Getting stains off coffee maker is quite a job. Give cleaning coffee maker with vinegar a shot and you'll find the job made easy.
- The lint lingering on the fabric of your dress spoils its show. Remove it entirely by cup of white distilled vinegar in the wash cycle.
- White clothes lose their charm soon and in many cases with the first wash. Rekindle that lost charm by adding just 1/4 cup of white distilled vinegar in the final stage of the wash cycle.
- The dirty dishcloths can seem cleaner if they are soaked in a boiled mixture of a cup of white distilled vinegar and a large pot of water.
- The tough ketchup stains, can be removed by a simple solution of white distilled vinegar and water mixture. Vinegar uses for laundry help in scraping off every last particle of dust and dirt on the white shirt collars making clothes look bright.
- Bathroom, although it's continuously being washed, is prone to various types of mildew and mold. Spray a solution of equal parts of water and distilled vinegar in the bathroom corners and floors. Scrub as you usually do and wash it with water to see the difference.
- Clean the toilet bowl by spraying white vinegar and scrub it vigorously. Deodorize the bowl by adding three cups of vinegar to it. Leave it for 30 odd minutes and flush it.
- The clogging in the shower heads can be easily removed by adding some distilled vinegar to it. Leave it overnight and wash it off in the morning.
- Using vinegar to clean the black sticky marks that stickers leave is also very easy. Stickers that you don't want to see anymore can be easily peeled off if they are soaked in distilled vinegar.
- To polish your precious old furniture, make a mixture of olive oil and vinegar in 1:1 ratio. Dust your furniture and then wipe it clean with this mixture. This also prevents the furniture from potential decay.
- Leather shoes can be wiped clean with distilled vinegar solution.
