The beauty of this rice is that it does not over power the food it accompanies. This rice is not bland, like many other rice recipes you would have tried, but it lends a nice flavor to the food.

Easy Recipe for Spanish Rice
This is a wonderful Spanish rice recipe. All the people who have savored this recipe have always asked for more. Let's see the ingredients required for this Spanish rice recipe.
Ingredients
- Rice, 1 cup
- Chicken Broth, 2 cups
- Plain Tomato Sauce, 1 cup
- Garlic (finely chopped) 3 cloves
- Onion, medium-sized (chopped)
- Oil, 2 tablespoons
- Parsley (chopped) 4 tablespoons
- Salt to taste
- In a sauce pan, heat oil and add garlic and onion to it. Saute the onions and garlic till they are softened.
- Add dry rice and stir for about 5 minutes, so that the rice becomes golden brown in color.
- Now is the time to add chicken broth, tomato sauce and salt to the rice. Make sure you add both the broth and sauce to the rice and not pour it directly into the pan.
- Stir the rice well and bring the ingredients to a nice boil.
- Once it comes to a boil, turn the heat to low, cover and let it cook for about 20 to 22 minutes.
- When the rice cooks it will fluff up, remove from heat and the rice is ready to be savored.
This is a wonderful Spanish rice recipe for all vegetarians. With this recipe, even the non-veg connoisseurs will not be disappointed.
Ingredients
- Uncooked Rice, 1 cup
- Onion (chopped) 1
- Olive oil (vegetable oil) 2 tablespoons
- Tomato Sauce, 1 can
- Green Bell Pepper (chopped) 1
- Salt, 1 teaspoons
- Chili Powder, teaspoon
- Garlic Powder, teaspoon
- In a large skillet heat oil and onion to it. Once the onion is soft add rice to it and let it cook till the rice is golden brown in color.
- Add 2 cups of water and the remaining ingredients and bring it to a boil.
- Reduce the heat to low and let the rice cook for about 30 to 35 minutes, till the rice is cooked.
This recipe can also be adapted for vegetarians. They can substitute the chicken stock with vegetable stock.

- Olive Oil, 2 tablespoons
- Onion (finely chopped) 1
- Garlic Clove (minced) 1
- Long Grain Rice, 2 cups
- Chicken Stock, 3 cups
- Fresh Tomatoes, 1 cup
- Oregano, teaspoon
- Salt, 1 teaspoon
- Take a large skillet and brown the rice in olive oil over medium heat.
- When the rice turns brown add onion and garlic to the rice.
- Let it cook, till the onion becomes soft and tender.
- While the onion is cooking in a different pan, bring the stock to simmer and then add tomato, oregano and salt and bring it to boil.
- Add the stock mixture to the rice and bring it to a boil.
- Turn the heat to low and let the rice cook for 15 to 20 minutes. If you feel the rice is sticking to the pan, you can add cup of boiled water to the rice.
- Once the rice is well cooked, turn off the heat and let the rice sit for 5 to 10 minutes, before you serve it.
