The second level certification, on the other hand, requires a collegiate degree and passing an examination. Both certifications require renewal every three years.

These certifications play a great role in providing decent opportunities for janitor aspirants to attract very good jobs. By working in services contract, one can earn anywhere between $13,000 to $34,000. The salaries however depend on work experience, training and the type of employer.
