While organizing a kitchen cabinet, what you need to do is categorize the items in your kitchen - utensils and categories within that, cleaning agents, groceries and vegetables and other miscellaneous things. You will obviously keep the non perishable items in the cabinet like the utensils and long-lasting grocery items. Also think of which things would you require while doing a particular kitchen activity. For instance, you can store dishes and silverware near your eating area or dishwasher. Racks can be used to store silverware holders for optimum utilization of space. You can also categorize the items using the criteria of how frequently you use a section of utensils.

If your dining area is separate from the kitchen, things like napkins and table cloths will go out and not be in the kitchen. Let the kitchen be as empty as possible by keeping dining area related things like candle holders, napkins and stuff in the dining area.
