Top 13 Inch Laptops

Asus UL30A
With a 320GB hard disk, 4GB RAM, a 1.3 GHz Intel Core 2 Duo processor, this represents a very good buy. Asus is a brand that is renowned for offering excellent performance at a reasonable price, and this model also has an excellent laptop battery life to back it up. It has received rave reviews in general, and its portability is also unquestionable. There is no Ethernet port though, which is slightly discouraging, but it is one of the good options with DVD drive. Also look at the Asus F6.

Dell Inspiron 13z
The configuration of this machine is exactly similar to the above mentioned Asus model, but its battery life is far inferior. On the other hand, Dell machines have excellent after sales service, and with a few upgrades you can improve the battery life of this machine by leaps and bounds. You also get HDMI output with this device and that is an added advantage, along with the Ethernet port which is missing in the Asus model. Also look at the Dell Inspiron XPS M1330.

HP ProBook 5310m
This machine is perfect for people who do not need a graphics card and other heavy duty hardware and software. Its biggest selling point is its simplicity, and you get a 320GB hard drive, 2GB RAM, a 2.26GHz Intel Core 2 Duo processor and a very sleek design and form factor. The machine is unbelievably light, but the only disadvantage is the lack of multiple ports on the laptop.

Apple MacBook 13 Inch
This is the latest offering by Apple Computers, and for Mac fans this represents everything that is right about the computer world. You get 500GB hard drive space, 4GB RAM which can be upgraded, multiple connecting ports, the latest Wi-Fi standards, an impressive graphics card and loads of guaranteed battery life. It comes with core i5 processor, and this makes it very fast indeed. All this comes for quite a heavy price though.

MSI X320-037US
MSI is a well-known brand for laptop computers. Its features are not that advanced, but this is what brings its price down. You will get a 320GB hard drive, 2GB RAM, a 1.3 GHz Intel Atom Z530 processor, a 1.3 MP built in webcam and many other features. The battery life of this machine is quite impressive too, leaving you with a high performance machine for a low price.

Toshiba Satellite TruBrite T135-S1307
Toshiba is a brand that has been around for a long time, but still does not have a base of hardcore followers. There are many reasons for this. This particular machine has similar configurations, but its performance is not that great. Battery life is poor and the machine heats up incessantly. We would recommend buying this machine only if you have an unexplained affinity for Toshiba.
