We have all heard about wardrobe malfunctions and the kind of ruckus it creates. While the celebrities are caught by the shutterbugs in their most embarrassing moments and these photographs are splashed all over, one wonders about the truth behind these incidents. While the celebrities either burst in tears or rant and rave about the 'accident', the media often writes it off as a deliberate attempt. Dresses that fall apart suddenly to expose flesh or ridiculously tiny dresses worn at major events that suddenly rip, make you wonder about many things...
Don't our beloved celebrities have more than enough money in the world? Can't they afford even one decent garment? A dress can make you look truly ravishing with all the sex appeal without being overtly exposing. Clothes that fit well (without those shoulder straps falling down) and cuts that suggest a bit of skin can make one look glamorous enough. Besides, if you have the looks, you don't really need to wear bits and pieces of cloth that is termed as a 'gown'! I don't know what these celebrities were thinking when they chose those outfits, but here is a mention of some of our favorite celebrities caught in the most embarrassing moments termed as wardrobe malfunction. The truth is something only the celebrities would be aware of!
Worst Wardrobe Malfunctions of All Times
Who can forget Janet Jackson's wardrobe malfunction with Justin Timberlake. Reports mentioned an estimated of 140 million people watched this show where Justin apparently tore off her corset which exposed her to the audience. Although apologies were given later, reports also mentioned about this being a staged event to gather more publicity. This incident caused great shock amongst viewers and personally being a fan of Janet Jackson, I was also honestly shocked with the incident. This performance even brought about an investigation of the whole matter.
MTV held its annual movie awards this year, which saw plenty of celebrities attend and walk the red carpet. However, one celebrity walked with a difference. After she posed for the cameras trying to look her sexiest best, little did she know she was flaunting more than required. I am talking about Lindsay Lohan who has been given the top spot for the 'Most Embarrassing Wardrobe Malfunction'. This happened when Linday posed for the cameras and a strong gust of wind blew underneath her rather short dress showcasing Lindsay in a very embarrassing moment. Well, the shutterbugs surely were delighted and went snapping away to glory. Tut-tut Lindsay. As a pretty lady, you could have surely bought a sensible outfit that accentuated your looks in a better fashion.
Tara Reid faced her most embarrassing moment at Diddy's birthday bash in 2005. While posing for the camera, her rather svelte dress, which supposedly did not fit her well, ended up exposing more than she hoped to. This was the time when her dress strap completely fell off and Tara did not even realize it for a few seconds whilst the paparazzi happily clicked away photographs of the same.
Mariah Carey known for her beautiful voice was also a 'victim' of wardrobe malfunction. Her dress 'accidentally fell apart' at a TV show held in Germany. Here, she was saved when the management turned off the lights, which allowed her to run off holding her 'clothes' backstage.
These wardrobe malfunctions make one wonder about reports that claim these incidents being staged. One can't help but speculate about the thinking power of our celebrities. We know that publicity-crazy celebrities can go to any length to be in the news. However, there may be a few who have been innocent victims of the same. In that case, I wish our celebrities would wear sensible and fashionable clothing that highlights their true beauty without flashing too much skin. After all, you don't really have to dress weird to be in the news. Elegance is itself an attitude and let's hope these celebrities learn it real fast to avoid any more embarrassments.
