If you wish to avoid hair problems, then remember this important tip. Do not brush or comb your hair when wet. This is because wet hair is in a delicate stage and if combed when wet, it would only weaken the strands and cause it to break resulting in hair fall.
You must have heard about the golden rules of brushing your hair till the count of 100 before you go to bed at night. Well, this may not always work in your favor. Brushing your hair helps to stimulate the blood flow, but over-brushing your hair can have adverse effects as it can damage your hair and weaken the roots as well.
The kind of cosmetics you choose for your hair can also have an effect on the texture of your hair. Strong shampoos and conditioners can also result in hair loss. These strip the hair and scalp of the natural oils and the presence of strong chemicals can really cause harm to the delicate strands of hair. In such cases, the use of herbal or mild shampoos that will cleanse your hair gently without really causing any harm.
A good exercise routine not only helps to keep your body fit, but also helps one to prevent hair loss. A healthy mind and body in turn helps one to have healthy hair.
While using a shampoo, avoid using the content directly on your scalp. It is always better to take a small quantity and add some water to it before you apply it directly on your scalp. Besides, once you apply the shampoo, use your fingertips to gently massage your scalp. Avoid scratching the scalp with your fingernails as this causes scarring and also causes the hair to weaken and ultimately break.
Harsh rays of the sun can damage your hair. Therefore, a useful tip would be to avoid overexposure to harsh sunlight. Use a stylish hat or a tie a scarf around your hair if you need to step out into the sun. Beat the heat in true style.
Dandruff also leads to the loss of this priceless glory. Here's a tip to get rid of dandruff- use the juice of half a lemon to a liter of water and use this as a rinse for your hair. You can even apply make a small preparation and leave it on for sometime before you wash your hair.
The kind of hairstyle you sport can also result in loss of hair. Wearing tight hairstyles such as ponytails or even the very popular hair braids can cause your hair to undergo too much stress due to the tension applied on the strands.
Harsh chemical treatments can have a very negative effect on your hair. Excessive coloring or perming the hair is not really good for the texture of your hair. You can lose the natural texture of your hair. Therefore, be proud of your natural tresses and avoid experimenting with your hair.
