Butter one side of the bread slice and place it on the skillet with the buttered side down. Scramble egg and milk together and spread it over the frying bread. Flip the side of the bread only when the egg starts to show up firmly and then form the cuts of the eyes and mouth. Before taking the bread out from the pan put a cheese strip over the 'eyes' of the bread and serve this healthy recipe to your toddler.

Applesauce Pancake
Ingredients
  • 1 beaten egg
  • 1 cup flour
  • cup milk
  • 1 cup applesauce
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • tablespoon vanilla essence
  • 1 tablespoon of melted butter
Procedure
Mix flour, salt and baking powder in a mixing bowl. Mix butter, egg and milk well in another bowl. Mix the flour mixture into the egg mixture, along with applesauce and vanilla essence. Beat the mixture extremely well, until you get a fine and clot-less texture to the batter. Place the batter in a small greased griddle and bake in the oven. Your applesauce pancakes are ready!

  • Chicken breast
  • Plain yogurt
  • Crushed wheat
Procedure
Make thin strips of the chicken breast and roll them into the yogurt. Coat the chicken strips with crushed wheat (you can use cereal of your choice, for instance honey oatmeal, cornflakes etc.) Place these coated chicken sticks on a greased baking sheet and bake over 400C until done. Serve these chicken sticks to your toddlers, dipped in a sauce or some vegetables.
