Mother of the Groom Wear
They say that the wedding ties are made in heaven and it's just that the two meet here, in this world. I don't know if that is actually true. But I am absolutely positive about one thing and I guess everyone would agree with it. And the thing is that wedding has no parallels. The whole wedding scenario is enchanting. Those two who would be tied in the thread of holy matrimony forever, are on a different plain all together, rather, they are on cloud nine, to be precise. Therefore, once the wedding bells have rung, the general atmosphere is magical. The bride is concerned about each and every tiny detail and wants her special day to be prefect, without any wardrobe malfunctioning, food and ambiance 'mishaps'. Now wardrobe malfunctioning extends from the bride's wear to the mother of the groom wear. It is a huge turn off for a bride, if the mother of the groom is not in proper attire, in tune with the surroundings and general flow of the wedding dress. So for all the brides-to be, and mother of the groom-to-be, here is all about mother of the groom attire and in general mother of the groom dresses.
Mother of The Groom Attire
What Style Should She Wear?
Well, first of all, it is better to decide, mother of the groom wear, by having a pleasant chat with the mother of the bride on what she is going to wear. Coordinate with her attire. But that would not imply that the mother of the groom should copy her counterpart! Just be in-sync with what the bride's mother is going to wear. For instance, if the mother of the bride is wearing a gown, with a shade close to the color of, let's say, sparkling champagne, then you can wear a golden mother of the groom gown. Likewise, if she is going to wear something very simple and sort of casual, as a groom's mother, you play it down and do not be over the top. So wait for the mother of the bride dress first. In addition to this, you also have to keep in mind the location like, if it is an outdoor wedding like a beach wedding, then, you would not want to be embarrassed by wearing a long sleeved wedding gown, rather than something compact. You would not want your daughter-in-law to mutter something else other than the wedding vows, don't you? The key is to wear something which is comfortable, yet which will make you look stunning!
Color Discolor?
Now this is another very important thing to consider while choosing mother of the groom wear. As mentioned earlier, getting to know what the mother of the bride is wearing will give a fair idea of the overall contour of the wedding dresses. So choosing a color according to that will be a good idea. After all, the mother of the groom has to gel well with the total set up. Therefore, if everyone's wearing nice, bright colors, the mother of the groom should not seem that she is laid back or she is playing herself down. Thus, opt for, mother of the groom dress, of a color which will be in-sync with the others. While choosing the color also consider your skin and hair color. Another extremely important tip to remember is that do NOT wear White. It is a choice by default for the bride, but the doors to white are not open for you, dear mother of the groom! Moreover, it is not a very good idea for the sheer impracticality, that white is so much prone to stains and even a slight stain shows on it.
Where to Get It?
The answer to the question where do you get the mother of the groom attire is very simple. It's any shop, where you have evening gowns and the wedding stuff. You would easily get a wedding gown there. Even in a boutique you would get a nice wedding dress. If you have zeroed in, on a casual and a formal look, then perhaps a store having formal wear (in the context of marriage) will be just fine.
So as the mother of the groom wear is not a major hassle, if planned and done systematically. The trick is not to look garish but to be yourself, comfortable and confident in what you wear. Then you are sure to rock the wedding! Have a ball of a time!
