Layered Mexican Dip


Layered Mexican dip is not just a dip, it's an entire meal; at least for me. There are many versions of this dip, it starts from a 5 and 6 layered and goes up to 9 and sometimes even a 10 layered dip. The tenth and the ninth versions are not that popular but it's still seen on a lot of menu cards. You can make this Mexican dip recipe with a variety of flavors according to your taste. 7 Layer Mexican Dip
Ingredients

  • 2 large cans of refried beans
  • 2 packs of taco seasoning
  • 2 cans, jalapeno, you can also use chilies if you want
  • 2 cans of olives
  • 16 ounces sour cream
  • Shredded cheese (mozzarella and cheddar)
  • 1 onion if you want it
  • 4 avocados
  • 2 tomatoes finely chopped
Method: Place a layer of ground beef, mix it with refried beans and taco seasoning powder. Mix it well in a food processor and place it on an oven pan. This is the first layer. On the first layer, put a layer of sour cream, some more taco seasoning and chilies, this is the second layer. On the second layer sprinkle some crushed avocados and on the crushed avocados sprinkle cheese on top. Now, place some finely chopped tomatoes, you can use as much as you like. In the end, sprinkle some finely chopped olives on the top. Cook in the oven in low heat so that the cheese melts. Serve it with chips or tacos. Serve this 7 layer Mexican dip recipe in small parties and gatherings and you will be a hit. This recipe is one of the best examples of a layered Mexican dip with ground beef.

Layered Mexican Dip with Cream Cheese
Ingredients
  • 1 pack of low-fat cream cheese, softened
  • 1 pack of taco seasoning
  • 1 can of Frito lay bean dip
  • 2 cans of spicy refried beans with green chilies
  • 2 cups of chopped tomatoes
  • 1 cups chopped jalapeno (or to taste)
  • 1 cups chopped cilantro
  • 1 cups cheddar cheese
  • 1 cup chopped onions
  • 1 cup chopped green onions
  • cup chopped black olives
  • 16 oz pkg pre-mixed guacamole
Method: Pull out a large jelly roll pan or a cookie sheet and layer it with aluminum foil. In a mixing bowl add cream cheese, sour cream and a pack of taco seasoning, mix well and spread it out on the bottom layer of pan. Place it in the fridge for an hour to make it a little firm. Add 2 cans of spicy refried beans with 1 can of bean dip, so that the mixing becomes easier. Above that pour guacamole and above that add cheddar cheese, tomatoes, finely chopped onions and green onions, jalapeno, black olives and sprinkle a little cilantro on the top. Let this dip cool for 2 hours and serve it with chips and hamburgers.

Hot Layered Mexican Dip
Ingredients
  • 30 ounce can of refried beans
  • Tabasco sauce
  • 1 cup sour cream
  • cup mayonnaise
  • 1 cup grated cheese (mozzarella preferred)
  • 2 small cans of ripe olives
  • cup avocados finely mashed
  • 1 tbsp lemon juice
  • 2 tsp garlic salt
  • Salt to taste
Method: Take an oven pan and add refried beans, a dash of Tabasco sauce and a little salt and mix well. Add the mashed avocados, lemon juice and garlic salt. Pour sour cream and mayonnaise and mix well. Pour the chopped olives and sprinkle the grated cheese. Heat the pan in the oven for 15 minutes at 350F, until cheese melts. It is a very easy recipe, you can serve it with nachos and hamburgers.

Cold Layered Mexican Dip
Ingredients
  • 1 can bean dip
  • 1 small can of chillies finely chopped
  • 1 small can of black olives finely chopped
  • 8 ounces of sour cream
  • 1 pack of 8 oz. Shredder cheese and Monterey Jack cheese
  • 1 pack of taco seasoning
  • 2 tomatoes finely chopped
  • 3 green onions finely chopped
  • tsp of garlic powder
Method: In a bowl, mix sour cream and bean dip together. Sprinkle above 1 pack of taco seasoning. Spread on serving dish. Spread chopped chillies on top. Sprinkle with garlic powder. Add olives and green onions on top. Now add chopped tomatoes and spread cheese on top, cool it for an hour and serve.

Baked Layered Mexican Dip with Meat
Ingredients
  • 1 lb ground beef
  • 1 pack of taco seasoning
  • 1 can of sour cream
  • 1 can of refried beans
  • 1 can of salsa
  • 1 pouch shredded taco cheese
Method: In an oven proof round clear glass casserole, add brown beef and taco seasoning. Add all the ingredients one by one, cheese should be the last one to go. Cover the pan loosely and bake at 350F for 35 minutes, remove the glass cover and bake it again for 15 minutes or until it gets a golden brown color on top.

Best Ever Layered Mexican Dip
Ingredients
  • 1 can bean dip (9 ounce)
  • 12 ounces sour cream
  • 1 can guacamole (6 ounce)
  • 1 pack taco seasoning mix
  • 1 pack of shredded Cheddar cheese (1 ounce)
  • 1 jalapeno pepper, finely diced and seeded
  • 1 tomato finely chopped
Method: In an oven pan, spread layer of bean dip. On top of that add a layer of guacamole. Place the pan in the fridge for 20 minutes, so that the layers get thick. In a separate bowl add sour cream and taco seasoning and mix well. Take out the oven pan from cooling and spread the sour cream mixture over the layer of guacamole. Add grated cheese on top of that. For garnishing add jalapeno and tomatoes.
