Hair Color Correction
Imagine a situation where you wanted to have your hair colored burgundy (perhaps) and it turns out that it has been a disaster after you look in the mirror and come to know of it. It is such a huge embarrassment. But don't worry, that is not the end of it. You can still have correction and get the look you wanted or may be not, but you can definitely get rid of the malfunctioning. After all, it is just a color and nothing else! Yes, it can happen that if the color is permanent, it might be a tad hard, but then it can be done nevertheless.
How to Correct Hair Color
Before we actually go on to correcting the hair color, here is a brief up of the things you would need in the process. You would need a good shampoo conditioner, semi-permanent hair color, and hair highlighting kit.
- To start off, the first thing you could probably do at home, is to use baking soda for washing your hair, in case you need to correct the hair which ended up too dark or bright. Make a solution of equal amount of baking soda and water with your shampoo. Then after leaving it on for around 10 minutes, rinse with a part of baking soda and two parts hot water at a tolerable temperature. This is a very common and popular remedy endorsed by the salons as well, to fade the hair dye.
- Other thing you can do is, use a good shampoo-conditioner with good dandruff protection. Wash your hair more than once, while leaving the shampoo in your hair for a good outcome.
- Now in the situation where you have tried both these solutions, and to your exasperation, you still have to deal with the terrible color, don't think twice, just simply go to a drug store and buy a kit to remove it. Follow the instructions while you do it, do not go on a rampage.
- These things are better, if you have to darken the shade instead of softening it. So darken over-bleached hair by employing a home-made technique.
- Bleached hair has nothing which can be eliminated, so in case your hair becomes too brassy or light, you would have to add, rather than removing or eliminating something.
- So deepen your hair color or decrease the brassiness by applying natural glazes from black tea, coffee or unsweetened cocoa.
- For the cocoa concoction, mix cocoa and yogurt and make it into a thick paste and apply it, uniformly, to your hair following a shampoo. Next, rinse after five minutes.
- This should be repeated for minimum of three times.
- Here is an illustration of how you can soften a deeper and a darker color. Apply light ash blonde for lightening or softening a bright or deep shade of red. Using a hair mousse which serves the purpose of removal of brassy red tones will be beneficial.
Correcting hair color is not a major hassle after all, except the red and other darker shades. If you want funky shades, you can always go for coloring, but always remember to take all the hair care precautions. But I feel that there is nothing like original. No artificial color in this world can beat it!
