Top Audio Books of All Time

To read for the sheer joy and curiosity of unraveling the miseries that may lay within the pages of new book. Or to leave the traces of your fingertips and tears, along with the many others who flipped through a classic that you hunted out from the public library. Many of you may not be able to recall when was the last time you read a book without any interruptions or gaps that extended to days before you realized, that you had a half read book catching dust at home. Fortunately, the ones who came up with the concept of an audio book, hadn't forgotten how amazing it feels to read a book. Audio books are a blessing, as they allow you to rest a while. All you need to do is listen while, a voice reads the stories out for you, just like the stories you may have heard, at bed time as a child.

There was a time when your work hours were limited to such an extent that it allowed you to pursue leisurely activities. Reading was not an activity then, it was a way of life, especially for the ones who were voracious readers. Though in today's age, life and work has become so much more demanding that whatever little free time you get, goes into tying up the loose ends of your daily life. By the time you get free from work and manage your way home, from the devouring claws of traffic and swarms of people, you're spent and frustrated. All you can think about is fixing some grub and crashing to get some much-needed sleep. The only things we do read are the labels on the milk cartons or the same old boring e-mails and bill receipts. When do we actually sit down to read? A sense of nostalgia overcomes you, when you skim through the recent book reviews online and you wish you had the time.

While some of you may agree, some of you won't. And that's alright, because, you disagreeing would be a proof enough that you indulge and enjoy in the pleasures of reading, whether that be via audio or paper. There are many more authors and their works that haven't been included, though it does not in any way imply that they are not one of the best in the world. J.K. Rowling and her world-famous Harry Potter is undoubtedly one of the record-breaking bestseller books of recent times. Some of my personal favorites include Stephen King, Agatha Christie and the thrilling tales of Dan brown and his quest to save the precious historic legacies of this world.
