Haddock is a demersal fish living at or near the bottom of the seabed. It belongs to the Gadidae family. It is a lean fish with a black lateral line and spots over the pectoral fins, that resemble a thumbprint. It is commonly found in Northern Europe and along the eastern coast of North America. They can grow up to a length of 20-24 inches and weigh up to 3-5 pounds. These usually feed on small crabs, squids, sea-urchin and sea-cucumbers.
