How to Make Them
Many women will agree that handcrafted jewelry has its own charm and value. So, if you plan to make them at home, the items that you would require are two mini disco balls, two very small metal rings, two shepherd hooks which come with coil, super glue and pliers. When you are buying these things, make sure that the small metal rings and the hook are of same color, unless and until you are someone who likes to be experimental once in a while. All these things are easily available in any craft or hobby store, so you will have no problem in getting them. Once you have all these necessary things, you can start with making mini earrings by following this step wise procedure.
Step 1
Start making silver earrings by gluing the small metal rings on top of the mini balls. Once the glue is applied, leave the balls so that it can become dry. Here, it might happen that the disco balls roll over and cause the metal rings to come out since the glue is still wet. So, what you can do is to set the balls in an ice tray and leave it there to become dry.
Step 2
When the metal ring is completely stuck to the disco ball, start working on the shepherd hook. Take a pair of pliers and with it pull the small ring apart, which is there at the bottom of the earring hook. Now, slide the shepherd hook through the metal ring on the ball by using the small ring that you just pulled apart.
Step 3
Take the pliers and close the small ring at the bottom of the earring hook with it in such a way that it encircles the metal ring on the disco ball. Follow the same method while making other earrings.
Using this method, anybody can make these funky earrings sitting at home. One word of precaution though, always check that the super glue is completely dry before you wear these handmade jewelry because if it isn't and it sticks to your skin, it will be very difficult to remove it.
