As the long-awaited football season arrives, it comes along planning for parties among friends and family members. Often, we end up spending time together with our friends, huddling around the television and shouting for our favorite teams. To make the best of the moment, you can organize a football party. Also, football party theme is a great way to celebrate birthdays for kids. Either way, you want to make your guests happy and enjoy the party to the fullest.
To bring that exciting football party mood, decorate the hall with pictures of famous footballers playing in that particular season. And make sure you include players of your friend's choice. Coming to football party food, it should be simple and easy to eat, preferably with hands. That way you can enjoy food and at the same time, watch matches. Always keep delectable snacks, appetizers and drinks at hand; your friends can have them any time they want.
Football Party Menu
In order to avoid last-minute visits to the grocery stores, plan the football party recipes beforehand. You can jot down vegetarian and non-vegetarian dishes, which require less time for preparation and are easy to cook with less effort. According to the menu that you have finalized, purchase beverages, groceries, meat cuts and other food supplies. Keep them in stock at least 2-3 days prior to the special day. You can consider the following food items for serving in a football party:
Mixed Vegetables
Healthy and nutritious to eat, a tray filled with cut vegetables will make your health conscious friends happy. Include carrot, cucumber, cabbage, broccoli, radishes and celery. Your guests can pick up slices of vegetables as per their choice. You can also add whole green chilies to spice them up. Put a bowl of ranch dressing in the center of the tray to complement the vegetables.
Finger Foods
Party finger foods and bite size foods make an excellent pre-game snacks. You can offer them in a bowl and keep some at easily reachable spots. Offer chips and chicken fingers, your guests will love them. Supplement finger foods with a variety of sauces that go well with them. Do not neglect your little guests, you can add bowls of tomato ketchup and less spicy dips for them.
Chicken Wings
For any party, grilled or fried chicken wings are always included in the menu. To make a healthy football party food, you can think of baking them rather than deep-frying in oil. Coat with bread crumbs and bake them in the oven. Ensure that you make extra baked chicken wings, as it is a favorite for all. It is best served with spicy dip sauce or barbecue sauce.
Meatballs
Meatballs are a football party staple for kids and adults. It is best to purchase meatballs from food supplies and prepare only the serving sauce. By doing so, you will get more time to relax and enjoy the game, rather than spending maximum time in the kitchen. Consider making barbecue sauce for serving meatballs.
Baked Potatoes
Baked potatoes stuffed with yummy toppings are another football party recipe. Take medium-sized potatoes, clean them, prick several times with a fork and bake them in the oven. Prepare easy toppings by heating baked beans along with chili powder, back pepper and salt. Cut open cooked potatoes and stuff this topping.
Nachos
Nachos are very simple to cook and can be made in a jiffy, especially when you have many guests. For nacho recipe, you will need corn chips, cheese and toppings. Put some chips in a microwave safe plate and sprinkle grated cheese. Place in the microwave for a few minutes or till cheese is melted. Combine this with sour cream, salsa and guacamole, and serve.
In addition to the above mentioned food options, you can include sandwiches, mini hamburgers, hotdogs, air popped popcorn and toasted nuts. If you are making football party food for adults, you can include spicy dishes as well. As long as you choose simple food recipes, you will get more time to enjoy game with your friends.
