Cool Ways to Lace Shoes
Tying shoes laces which we consider a routine task, could be made interesting by the use of some innovative ideas. Different ways of tying shoe laces are discussed in the following paragraphs.
Cool Ways to Lace Shoes
There are numerous ways of tying shoe laces. Here are some cool ways to lace shoes. These include cool ways to lace shoes with two laces as well as one lace.
Ladder
The 'ladder' pattern is easy to create and provides a tight lacing. To tie the lace in the ladder format, both ends should emerge from the eyelets at the bottom; after which the ends need to be directed upwards. The ends should then be inserted into the next set of eyelets. As the ends emerge from these eyelets, crossing should be done. Before directing the ends upwards, they should be passed from underneath the vertical section. The procedure should be repeated till the last pair of eyelets.
Checkerboard
One should try the 'checkerboard' with 2 different colored laces. Wide laces would be ideal for this pattern. The first lace should be tied in the normal, straight fashion. One should start tying the second lace from the bottom. The lace needs to be weaved in and out of the first lace till it reaches the top; the pattern of weaving should continue again from top to the bottom. The process needs to be continued till you run out of lace. Finally, the loose ends should be tucked in the shoe.
Sawtooth
The 'sawtooth' is also an interesting way to tie shoe laces. In order to tie the shoe lace in the saw tooth fashion, one should insert both lace ends in the bottom eyelets. One of the end should be directed straight upwards and then across into the eyelet at the 2nd level. The other end needs to be directed diagonally underneath to the 3rd level. The 2nd level should be skipped in this case. This very end should be directed across to the eyelet and inserted again. From this level, both the ends need to be directed diagonally upwards and then across in a repeated manner till the top level is reached.
Footbag
The 'footbag' is a bit different from the ordinary shoe lace patterns. In this pattern, both ends of the shoe lace should emerge from the pair of eyelet that is 3rd from the bottom. These ends need to be directed downwards and inserted into the eyelets at the second level; after which they should emerge from the last pair of eyelets at the bottom. The ends should now be directed straight upwards and inserted into the first vacant pair; in this case, the pair at fourth level. From this level, the ends need to be crossed over. The crossing pattern should continue till the ends emerge from the top level.
Twistie
The 'twistie' is a pattern which appears to be articulate and beautiful. The good thing about this pattern is that it is easy to tie. In this pattern, both ends of the lace emerge from the bottom pair of eyelets; the ends are then twisted together and directed underneath the second pair of eyelets from the bottom. As ends emerge from the second pair, they are once again twisted and the pattern is repeated until it reaches the top. Read more on ways to lace shoes.
