Recipe
  • Gather the ingredients - 2 tablespoons liquid Castile soap, 2 drops essential oil (your choice), 1 teaspoon almond oil, 1 cup distilled water, and 1 cup fresh herbs.
  • Now the herbs which you will use here will depend on your hair type.
  • You can also include more than one herb for this basic shampoo recipe.
  • Take a clean glass jar which has an air-tight lid. Place the fresh herbs in.
  • Boil more than 1 cup of distilled water (so once it's ready, you will have exactly 1 cup of water remaining).
  • Pour hot water over the fresh herbs inside the jar. Place the lid and let the herbs steep for about 15 to 20 minutes.
  • Take a clean bowl and strain the liquid from the jar. Don't take the leftover herbs.
  • Now add liquid Castile soap, almond oil, and your choice of essential oil.
  • Mix everything together and pour inside a clean plastic bottle that has a spout.
  • And that's it. Your herbal shampoo is ready. This recipe can yield up to 24 shampoos (depending on the length of your hair).
