Winter Drinks


Cocktails, mocktails, and hot chocolaty drinks; fall brings in tons of excuses to make winter drinks for all occasions. Whether it's for a holiday, birthday or anniversary party, or a regular social gathering, these drinks have to be included in the menu. Let it be alcoholic or non-alcoholic drinks, being at any party or dinner without a drink is so unusual. And when a beer or wine just won't cut it, some delicious beverages can bring the magic to the party.

Alcoholic Drinks

When you want the best alcoholic drinks for your party, what do you normally end up serving? Wine, rum cocktails, vodka cocktails? Maybe we can help you extend that list with the following drinks.

Tanqueray Almond

  • In a snifter, add 1 oz. Tanqueray London Dry gin, oz. almond liqueur, and splash of bitters over ice.
  • Mix in a splash of sour mix and give it a stir.
  • In the end, garnish with maraschino cherries and serve.
Brown Derby
  • In a chilled cocktail glass, mix 1 shot of bourbon, shot of grapefruit juice, and 1 teaspoon of honey.
  • Stir everything properly and serve.
  • If you want, you can also mix the ingredients with ice cubes and then pour in the cocktail glass.
Icy Cocktail
  • In a shaker, mix in 1 oz. gin, 1 oz. maraschino liqueur, a lemon's juice, 1 egg white, and ice.
  • Shake the ingredients vigorously to make sure the egg white also mixes properly.
  • Pour through the strainer and serve in a chilled cocktail glass.
Hot Drinks

It's fall and sometimes you want something warm to make you feel rejuvenated. How about some hot drinks to make your insides alive? It will be a great surprise for the guests to be greeted with warm drinks to get the party started.

Hot Toddy
  • Take 1 shot hot water, 1 shot bourbon whisky, 1 lump of sugar, and 1 twist of lemon peel.
  • In a glass, add sugar and hot water. This will dissolve the sugar.
  • Now add the whisky and lemon peel in the glass.
  • Give it a good stir and serve. This makes 1 glass.
Sweet and Hot
  • Mix 1 oz. dark rum, 2 oz. milk, oz. cream, and oz. Kahlua coffee liqueur.
  • Heat the ingredients and then add in a glass.
  • Add lemon peel and a clove in. Serve immediately.
Vruca Rakia
  • In a pan, mix 2 oz. plum brandy, 1 teaspoon demerara sugar, and 2 oz. water.
  • Heat the ingredients and pour in a glass.
  • Stir once and serve.
Non-Alcoholic Drinks

There are many people (even kids at a party) that want to have the same amount of fun, but with non-alcoholic drinks. We can't let the guests down now, can we? So if you have some underage or designated drivers at your party, perhaps the following tropical non-alcoholic drinks can help cheer them up.

Ginger-Pear Shots
  • In a pan, heat 4 peeled and cute pears, 1 cup apple cider, 1 cup dry white wine, 1 tablespoon minced ginger, 1 tablespoon lemon juice, 4'' cinnamon stick, and teaspoon salt.
  • Simmer the pear till tender for 20 minutes, remove from heat, and let it cool down.
  • Place the liquid in blender, add 1 tablespoons honey, and blend properly.
  • Keep the mixture in the refrigerator for 4 hours to chill. Pour in shot glasses and serve.
Spicy Hot Chocolate
  • In a bowl, mix 4 cups hot cocoa with 1% milk, teaspoon grated nutmeg, teaspoon chili powder, and 4 cinnamon sticks.
  • Give everything a good stir and pour in small mugs; serve immediately.
Pomegranate Punch
  • In a pitcher, mix 1 cup pomegranate juice, 1 cup seltzer, cup lemon juice, ice, and 1 cup Sprite.
  • Mix everything properly and garnish with mint leaves and lemon twists; serve chilled.
