Household Cleaning Tips
You may find some people who are always obsessed with cleaning. The frequency in which you will find them with a broom or a mop or a cleaning cloth is rather high, that is called being obsessive. Well! you do not have to be obsessively compulsive about cleaning, if you want a clean, hygienic house that smells pleasant. All you have to do is, be regular in cleaning the house. Consider doing it daily, like a habit. Initially, I would advise that you dedicate some time for household cleaning every day.
The best way to have a spic and span house is allot some time to all the cleaning activities every day. For example, the washroom, bathroom and the basin you can clean before having your morning bath. The bedroom and the living room (which are somehow always in a mess) can be brought to order just after having a bath. The kitchen should be cleaned after you have cooked. All the mothers, allot your naughty boys with the heavy cumbersome duties and the sweet, charming daughters, with the duties that require a little more delicateness. I myself, being the son of my affectionate mother, clean the floors and washroom and the bathroom every morning and clear up the kitchen after a delicious dinner.
First of all what you need to do is assemble all the cleaning supplies like vinegar, newspaper, cotton cloth, brooms and soap, and then involve all the family members to partake in the activity, with or against their will.
Tips for Household Cleaning
Once you have armed yourself with the ammunition to get rid of all the dirt and untidiness, it is time to attack.
Household cleaning tips can be almost endless and I was wondering where to begin. So here goes (I started with the simplest tip). Cleaning the furniture. What you can do is allot sometime to furniture cleaning every day. Cleaning furniture is extremely simple. What you have to do is run the vacuum cleaner over the sofa set, every day. Make sure that you include all the parts of the fabric in the furniture while vacuuming. Next take a small quantity of cleaning solution on a cotton cloth and quickly polish and rub all the 'hard' surfaces in the house, such as, the coffee table or the coat stand. While cleaning these surfaces replace the 'out of the place things' in their appropriate places. For example, if a book is lying open on the coffee table, put it back in the book shelf.
Among all the house hold cleaning tips the most tiring part is the cleaning of the kitchen. This part is the most important part as the kitchen has to kept the most hygienic. The best way to keep the kitchen clean is to clean up the kitchen platform after cooking and then dining table after eating. The best way to keep these two aspects clean is to moisten a cotton cloth with water and some liquid soap and then rub down all the dimensions of the kitchen platform, cabinets and the dining table thoroughly. The whole process should not take more than approximately 15 minutes.
Tiding up the bathroom is not such a big issue. Just clean up the washroom, the bathroom and also the basin with long-handled brushes, liquid soap and some disinfectant. You can also use a long-handled mop, a bucket of water and little disinfectant to clean up the floor.
One last thing that I did not manage to cover is the bedroom. To keep the bedroom tidy all you have to do is regularly clean the furniture in it, use a clean vacuum cleaner over the mattress, do the laundry regularly and change the sheets frequently.
Here are some suggestions that I managed to collect from some people, whom I happen to know...
Chaitra Saxena: "put the things back from where you picked them"
Meera Mankhedkar: "everything has a place of its own, give its own place"
Dhanya Joy: "use newspapers to clean surfaces, works wonders"
Maisie M: "Don't just keep looking at it (the mess you know!) it's time to act!!"
Sayali Bedekar Patil: "Essential to keep kitchen (especially cooking area) clean".
Loveleena: "bed sheets - "Change them every alternate days!"
Paramita Bhattacharya: "Cleanliness is to avoid the spread of dirt (can be anything from stains to disgraceful comments and gossip) to oneself and others."
I really hope that you are able to clean up your house every day. No, don't look at me, I am the laziest writer ever born. I just clean up my bedroom when some guests are about to come!
