How to Pump Gas

  • Payment procedure is simple, if you are paying by credit card or debit card. Just press, "pay at pump", "pay with card", "credit", "debit", otherwise press "pay outside". Once you insert the card, you just need to follow the instructions given on the screen.
  • Use a key or the button to unlock the door of the gas tank of your car and open it.
  • Now you need to remove the gas tank's cap and wear your gloves.
  • Make sure you select the right type of gas, that is, regular, premium, super or diesel to prevent car problems.
  • Now lift the handle of the gas hose and insert the nozzle into the gas tank of your car.
  • You need to pump gas safely, so ensure that you have inserted the nozzle properly and push a little, so that the nozzle fits well into the tank.
  • It's time to turn on the pump, so push the switch or button on the pump for the fuel you want for your vehicle. In case of any confusion regarding the switches, look for attendants and clear your doubts.
  • Once the pump has been turned on, you would see numbers on the pump reset.
  • As you pull the trigger on the nozzle, the gas will start flowing into the gas tank of your vehicle.
  • Keep checking for the amount of gas flowing into the tank. After you have pumped the required amount of gas, you need to remove the nozzle.
  • Take the gas hose out and hang it back to the station pump.
  • While you do so, ensure that you don't fill the gas tank up to the brim, thereby causing gas to spill.
  • Now you need to place the fuel cap back to close the door on the gas tank of your car.
  • If you paid by credit card or a debit card, gas pump will beep and then you need to collect the receipt.

  • If you did not use credit or debit card for payment, you need to pay for the amount of gas you filled in your gas tank.
