Plus-size Winter Coats
You say you are the kind of woman who has a thousand clothes, and absolutely nothing to wear, while I say, I have a thousand clothes too, with absolutely nothing to fit into. All said and done, winters make up for my favorite season of the year. Know why? That's because everything you wear in winters hides your tires and bulges! Be it jackets, coats, overcoats or pullovers, you sideline your perplexity for summer, and gear up for a shopping spree. However, if you're even a tad like me, you'd rather walk the aisle for plus-size clothing which is just too safe a purchase. To your surprise, gone are the days when there used to be nothing in terms of variety for fuller figures. Latest fashion trends are no more disappointing, and a perfect wardrobe essential, plus-size winter coats for women, awaits you to add it to your winter kitty!
Buying Plus-size Winter Coats |
Shopping is easy when you have no plus size tag attached to your torso. However, buying winter clothing is easier. All you need to do is pick up one such piece of winter coat that is fuzzy, warm, and extremely chic to look at. But then, some terms and conditions are not to be missed. Today, fashion clothing stores everywhere have a certain section for plus-size fashion freaks, where they can get a wide variety of winter coats, suiting all requirements. While we are at tips to buy winter coats for fuller-figures, here's a quickie: even though light shades look classy and vintage, always pick up a winter coat that's dark in shade. Then again, it applies to only those females who would do anything to appear slimmer. Hence, pick up a winter coat keeping in mind places you want to wear it to. Many a time, women end up making a total blunder of themselves by wearing fur or too detailed winter coats to places which call for exactly opposite attire, to office for that matter. If you're worried about looking busty, always go for a single-breasted coat that not only makes you look less bustier, but at the same time, looks extremely flattering. During winters, this one piece of clothing will be brought into use by you quite frequently. |
A wide variety of winter jackets for women who are fuller-figured adorn designer showrooms worldwide. You just need to settle on when to wear your coat. If it's to work you are planning on buying one, a black or brown, knee-length overcoat is just too sexy. It need not be embellished with all sorts of gems and adornments. Instead, keep it simple, but royal. On the other hand, a parka, sporty one, is ideal for daytime activities. What's more, a down coat with pretty embellishments on the shoulder makes up for a perfect party wear overcoat. In addition, if the smell of leather seems irresistible to you, you could pick a three-quarter length leather coat with faux fur lining. Plus-size women who are looking for an overcoat that is not only stylish, but also elongates their torso, have a reason to smile. There is a wide variety of winter coats for women, men, and kids as well, keeping in mind the length and width of all. For women who are a bit shorter in height, a winter coat of any dark color, that reaches up till the knee is worth stealing! It will not only elongate your torso, but will also make you look slimmer. Secondly, pick up coats that have a belt in addition. Belts divide your body into half, and create an illusion of a slimmer you. Lastly, do not go for round-neck coats. Instead, a V-neck winter coat is the best option, since, it gives a perfect shape to the shoulders, thereby, reducing your bust size. |
Knee-length winter coats, over a pullover, combined with a winter cap, and gloves of contrasting color, are the best wear for winters. Pair them with dark-colored leggings, a scarf tied around the neck, and knee-high boots - if that isn't a head-turner, I don't know what is. If money isn't an issue for you, I'd suggest you to go for brands such as Burberry, Chanel, Paul Smith, Ralph Lauren, to name a few. Designer brands such as Fendi, Oscar de la Renta, Christian Dior, and Marc Jacobs offer a variety of luxury fur coats for women who believe in looking classy all the time. However, you have to be prepared to shell out a fortune to buy them. Personally, I do not recommend you to compromise with winter clothing, since, you do not buy stuff like coats every once in a while. Should you still consider dropping your anchor to lower prices, go through online reviews and check out reasonable plus-size winter coats. A usual winter trench coat can cost as less as $100-$150, depending upon the quality of the fabric used, and the store you purchase it from. Just make sure you do not end up buying winter clothes online, as being a fuller-figure, you need to try it out, and then buy it. As for the accessories, winter coats look utmost chic when paired up with boots, a classic clutch, and a scarf. Some women opt for wearing winter caps as well. However, grab them only if you reside in a place like Minnesota, if you know what I mean! |
Winter fashion arrives with its own opportunities of styling and dressing. And if you are slightly beyond the parameters of those size zero lassies, winter is no less than the Good Samaritan! Plus-size winter coats are the hottest commodity for the season, and the right buy can save you from making a mockery of yourself. While you can settle on for a decent buy for as less as $70-$80, when it comes to the upper limit, winter clothing is far, far beyond.
