Gift Basket Making Ideas
Receiving and giving gifts is always a pleasant experience. And it is double the joy if the gift is a thoughtful one. A gift basket does just that - makes personal milestones memorable.
So what does it take to put together a beautiful gift basket? Even if you have never been great at crafts, don't worry. All you need to do is show your personalized touch when wrapping your present. And to go about it first and foremost, it is recommended that you keep a modest stock of articles that you would need. This will help you to quickly decorate a gift basket even if the invite comes to you at the last minute. Purchase an assortment of baskets in various shapes and sizes. Then stockpile all kinds of goodies that you would generally like to give as gifts on occasions like birthdays, anniversaries, weddings, baby showers, housewarming ceremonies, Valentine's Day or Christmas.
If you have a perfect gift, you can find a reason to give. Keep an interesting collection of colorful satin ribbons, dry flowers, velvet and satin cloth, colorful thermocol balls, shredded colorful papers, perfume bottles, scented candles, bath oils, beauty care products, exotic candies, small curios, books, toys, stationeries and many more for that fascinating gift basket. Create a basket which shows your taste and finesse and is also perfect for the occasion. And most importantly, have a theme and be creative.
Spa Gift Basket: If you like to pamper someone special, go for this. This might be a perfect luxury gift both for men and women. Choose some herbal massage oils, bright colored rolled-up towels, aromatherapy candles, bath salts, body lotions, shampoos, soaps, pumice stone, foot brush, inflatable bath pillow. Fill the basket with potpourris, cover it with a cellophane paper and then tie it with a satin ribbon.
Men's Special basket: This will surely allow him to indulge in some pleasures of life. Select a pack of handkerchief or better still a set of hand towel that has his initials embroidered, body wash, shaving brush, shaving cream, aftershave, hair gel, pumice stone with wood handle, nailbrush, bath brush, body massager and a body wrap. Cover the basket with a shimmering net material and secure it with a contrast ribbon.
Housewarming gift: Select an exquisitely crafted table runner, table pot holders, kitchen towels, set of ceramic snack bowels, salt and pepper holders and some interesting wooden ladles. Wrap the basket in shrink wrap and tie it with a ribbon.
Potpourri Basket: Excelsior, bunch of large incense sticks, bag of potpourri, aromatherapy candles, an unusual candle holder, small bottles of aroma oils. Spread some shredded color paper at the bottom of the basket and arrange the items. Then wrap the basket with a net fabric. Attach some small tinkling bells to the ribbon.
Baby shower: Buy a blanket, a baby outfit, baby powder, soap, lotions, pacifier, diaper pins, box of diapers, baby wipes, baby brush and bottles. Place the blanket at the bottom and the rest of the articles on it. You could also add a soft toy to the list of articles if you want. Wrap the basket with a colorful wrapper and pin fresh flowers to it.
Coffee theme: The coffee basket can be ideal for anybody who loves coffee. And are quite safe bets for birthdays, anniversaries, Mother's Day or Father's Day. Pick up some specialty coffees and creamers, coffee bean grinder, small coffee pot and a set of coffee mugs. The coffee theme is surely going to rock. Use brown tissue papers at the bottom of the basket. You can put coffee beans in small sachets and spread it in between your items or fill in the mugs with coffee flavored candies. Wrap it with a brown cellophane paper and a contrasting ribbon.
You can actually create as many themes as you like. If you know the tastes of the person, you are creating the basket for, the better it is. Just like chocolate gift baskets are common on Valentine's Day, you can make gift baskets of consumables like cookies, tea, wine, or spices. Everybody loves them. You can add a gourmet book to the collection. If you still want to be different, you can decide on a gardening theme for somebody who loves gardening or if you like you can put in movie passes, music show tickets, gift certificate to bookstore or a lifestyle store or a voucher to a favorite restaurant or a day at the spa or even a magazine subscription. Have fun with these delightful ideas.
