Easy Meals to Make


Let me vouch for the fact that every single day of our lives have shrunk to a rat race! Less or no relaxation and more of unhealthy fast foods! Every one desires to provide healthy and nutritious meals for his/her family and make the most of the food dollar. However, the ever-increasing and busy work schedule has evenly managed to make people succumb to unhealthy meals. More affected is the working class, for whom, healthy and nutritious meals are far from even being thought of. So, how about managing the daily schedule so as to find out some more time in the kitchen and refrain from fast foods? A good thought! However, one, which is no less than a pot of gold at the end of a rainbow! So, the best way out is to decide on some time-saving, easy to prepare meals.

Easy to Prepare Healthy Meals

For breakfast...

Meal 1

Ingredients:
Grape Nuts cereal - 3 cups
Nonfat milk - 1 cup
Unsweetened applesauce - 1 cup
Raisins or craisins - 1 cup
Vanilla extract - 2 tsp.

Preparation:
Make a mix of the grape nuts cereal, milk, applesauce, raisins and vanilla extract and pour in a non-stick baking dish. Before this, preheat the oven at about 350F (176C). 35 minutes is what is required for baking the recipe or bake until firm. Let it get cooled and cut and serve in square pieces.

Meal 2

Ingredients:
Eggs - 5
Cheddar cheese, grated - 1 cup
Cream of mushroom soup - 1 can
Crotons, with herb - 2 cups
Sour cream - 2 or 3 tbsp.
Sausage - 1 pound (453 g)
Milk - 1 cup

Preparation:
Place the bottom of a baking dish with the crotons. Cook the sausage and let it drain well. Now, prepare a mix of the cheese, cream of mushroom soup, sour cream, eggs and milk. Pour this mix on the sausage. Cover the dish and let it be in the freezer overnight. The next morning, bake at 325F (162C). Time needed is about 75 minutes.

Meal 3

Ingredients:
Whole-wheat bread - 2 slices
Cereal - cup
Fat-free milk - 1 cup
Blueberries, frozen - 1 cup
Cheddar cheese - 1 oz (28 g)

Preparation
Toast the bread. Liquefy the mix of the cereal, milk and berries in a blender. Put a slice of the cheese in between the two slice of bread and put in the microwave for 15 minutes. Enjoy the breakfast, when the toast are cooled!

Meal 4

Ingredients:
Eggs - 4
Milk - 1 cups
Flour - 1 tbsp.
Salt to taste

Preparation
After mixing the eggs, milk, flour and salt, fry the mix until golden brown. Turn the fried mix until it is thick. Serve hot with tomato gravy!

For lunch...

Meal 5

Ingredients:
Cheddar cheese soup - 1 can
Dill - 1 tsp.
Dry Sherry - cup
Parmesan cheese, grated - 2 tsp.
Tomato bisque soup - 1 can
Milk - 1 cup
Boneless fish (shrimp or lobster as alternative), cooked - cup

Preparation:
Make a mix of dill and cheese soup in a pan and add milk, sherry and fish. Stir and let the mixture be boiled slowly at low temperature, until hot. Serve hot with Parmesan cheese garnishing.

Meal 6

Ingredients:
Papayas, peeled and seeded - 3
Lime juice - cup
Orange juice - 2 cups
Honey - cup
Champagne, chilled - 1 cup
Peeled and cut kiwi fruit - 1
Strawberries - 6

Preparation:
Using a blender, liquefy the mix of papayas, lime juice, honey and orange juice. After making a smooth mix, pour it into a large bowl and chill.

Serve the chilled mix by adding champagne and stir well. After pouring into serving bowls, put kiwi slice and strawberry toppings on each serving.

Meal 7

Ingredients:
Water - 8 cups
Potatoes, peeled and cubed - 4
Chicken bouillon - 2 cubes
Celery, chopped - 2 stalks
Chopped onion - 1
Cream of chicken soup, condensed - 2 cans (10.75 ounce)
Processed cheese food, sliced - 1 pound (453 g)

Preparation:
The water, potatoes, bouillon cubes, celery and onion are combined in a pot over high heat. Cook until vegetables are soft. Lower the heat and mash down the potato mixture in the pot to desired consistency. Thereafter, add the soup with little whisking until smooth. Stir and gradually add a cheese at a time, until melted.

Meal 8

Ingredients:
Small onion, chopped - 1
Sprigs parsley, chopped - 8
Boiled potatoes, cubed fine - 2 cups
Hardboiled eggs, chopped - 2
Butter - 2 tbsp.
Pepper - tsp.
Salt - 1/8 tsp.
Cooked cod, cut coarse - 1 pound (453 g)

Preparation:
Combine the onion, parsley, potatoes, eggs, butter, cod, pepper and salt to form a mix and chill for 1 hour. Shape the mix into round and flat cakes and coat each with seasoned bread crumbs. Fry in vegetable oil and serve.

For dinner...

Meal 9

Ingredients:
Chicken breasts, boneless - 6 to 8
Lemon juice - 1 cup
Butter - stick
Garlic salt - tsp.
Worcestershire sauce - 1 tbsp.

Preparation:
Mix the chicken with lemon and add butter, salt and the sauce to it. Cook over low heat. Serve with mashed potatoes or rice.

Meal 10

Ingredients:
Kielbasa - cut into desired shape
Tomatoes, crushed - 1 can
Italian seasoning
Beans - 1 can
Zucchini, cut into cubes

Preparation:
Simply mix all the stuffs and heat through, in a saucepan.

Meal 11

Ingredients:
Ground beef - 1 pounds
Onion powder - tsp.
Tomato type salsa - 1 cup
Egg - 1
Tortilla chips, crushed - 1 cup
Salt - 1 tsp.
Black pepper - tsp.
Cheddar cheese - 1 cup

Preparation:
Mix all the items and bake for sometime until done and serve.

Meal 12

Ingredients:
Ground beef - 1 pound
Egg, slightly beaten - 1
Buttermilk - cup
Catsup - cup
Salt pepper - tsp.
Onions, chopped - cup
Bread crumbs, dried - cup

Preparation:
Make a mixture of the beef with the egg. Thereafter, add the mixture of buttermilk, catsup, salt, pepper, onions and bread crumbs. Stir well and make oblong loaf. Whisk some flour on top and bake for about 45 minutes at 350F (176C). Serve and enjoy the dinner!
